What is the Website module?
Your website has two distinct components:
- The domain name: the URL starting with "https://" that visitors type into their browser to reach your site;
- The content: the theme, menus, and pages you create using the editor.
By default, your site is accessible via a domain name such as "my-site.springly.org", where "my-site" reflects the name of your platform.
How do I customize my website?
To build a site that reflects your organization, choose a theme and set its overall layout. You can also edit advanced theme settings: primary colors, menus, and backgrounds.
You can also customize:
- The design of your header and footer;
- The favicon, the small icon displayed in the browser tab next to the page title;
- The "short", the "my-site" portion of your default domain name.
How do I manage my website structure (menus and pages)?
By creating menus and placing your pages within them, you define your site's navigation structure. You can reorder menus and pages at any time.
The visibility of menus and pages can be configured individually. This lets you restrict certain sections to a specific group or category of users.
How do I create a page on my website?
There are two approaches. The first is to create a page from a template: a blog page or a calendar. These templates require no layout work.
The second is to create a custom page, built from scratch. You place elements directly onto a grid, which makes layout straightforward. A custom page can include:
- A background;
- Text blocks, images, or videos;
- A button to redirect visitors to another page.
How do I customize my domain name?
By default, a free domain name in the format "my-site.springly.org" is associated with your Springly platform. You can connect a custom domain name to your platform. This can be a domain name:
- that we purchase and manage for you;
- that you already own and can be linked to your platform.
How do I manage my website's online status?
By default, your site is accessible to everyone — this corresponds to the Active site option. To make it temporarily unavailable, select the Site under maintenance option from Website > Settings and theme. Visitors will then see a page indicating the site is under construction.
How do I manage my website's sign-up and login page?
Create your sign-up page to allow visitors to create an account on your platform. Just like a form or ticketing page, you can configure the information to collect during sign-up.
You can also customize your login options:
- By modifying its design;
- By configuring authentication options (sign in with a Google account or restrict access to a specific domain);
- By adding a login button to your menu.
What are the Website limitations for child organizations?
The Website module does not allow certain settings to be configured separately for child organizations: the favicon, the sign-up page, and Google Analytics remain settings of the main platform. This limitation applies even when the organization uses the "Dedicated website" site type.
