Creating and editing a menu allows website administrators to organize the navigation of their Springly site: a menu appears at the top of the page and groups the pages linked to it. Everything is managed from the Website > General > Menus and pages page, where you can create, publish, edit, or delete a menu.

What is a "menu" and how does it differ from a "page" on a Springly site?
- Navigation on your site is made possible through "menus" and "pages."
- A "menu" is accessible from the top of your site.
- A menu can contain one or more pages.
In the following example (taken from product.assoconnect.com, built with the Springly Website module):
- NEWS, ROADMAP and FAQ are menus
- UPDATES, WEBINARS & TRAINING and CLIENT NEWSLETTERS are the three pages linked to the NEWS menu
Important: a menu only appears on the site if at least one page has been linked to it, meaning dragged under the menu.
How do I create a new menu on my Springly site?
Important: it is not possible to create dropdown submenus. Only the menu and the pages linked to it are available — no nested sub-levels.
- Go to Website > General > Menus and pages.
- Click New menu at the top of the section.
- Enter the menu label and its access permissions (see Managing the visibility of your site's menus and pages).
Your menu has been created and now appears in your drafts.
You can then move it and add it to your list of menus.

How do I publish a menu (move it from drafts to the site)?
You've created a draft menu and now want to add it to your site? It's simple. Click the arrow cross icon and drag your menu (while holding the mouse button down) directly into your site, wherever you'd like it:
The menu leaves the drafts section and appears at the chosen position in the site's menu list; it displays at the top of the page as soon as a page is attached to it.
How do I edit a menu already created on my Springly site?
- Click the 3 dots on the menu you want to edit.
- Click the
icon.
- Edit the name and/or visibility of the menu.
The new menu name and visibility take effect on the site immediately.
How do I delete a menu from my Springly site?
- Drag the menu into the Trash section.
- Click the
icon to empty the trash and permanently delete the menu.
The trash is emptied: the menu and its settings no longer appear in Menus and pages or on the site.
Warning: emptying the trash permanently deletes the menu. This action cannot be undone.
What if my navigation needs aren't covered (e.g. nested dropdown menus)?
The Springly Website module does not support nested dropdown menus: the available structure is limited to a menu and its associated pages. If your navigation requires a more complex hierarchy, contact Springly support to explore the available alternatives.
