How to publish a poll?

To share a poll with your community, you have two options: publish it on a page of your website, or copy its access link and send it by email. Both methods require the poll to be created and saved with a Published status. To simply test or review the poll, publishing is not required: the Preview button works as soon as the poll is in Draft status.

Polls are only accessible to logged-in members (who have set up a login space). You cannot create a poll open to the public. This ensures that people cannot respond to your poll more than once.

How to publish a poll on the website?

Save the poll with a Published status

Create your poll by following the article Create and manage polls, set its status to Published, then click Save.

The poll then appears in the poll list with the Published label.

Create the Poll page on the website

To publish a poll on your website, you need to:

1. Go to Website > Menus and pages.
2. Click the New page button.
3. Choose the page type Poll.
4. Drag the newly created page into one of the site's menus to make it live.

All your polls with Published status will appear on this same page. You can only create one page of the Poll type. If this page type does not appear in the list, a Poll page already exists on the site — look for it in the menus, in drafts, or in the trash.

The page is live: logged-in members can find all polls with Published status there.

How to share a poll?

Get the poll's access link (URL)

There is no dedicated poll-sending feature, but you can easily retrieve its access link and share it directly.

To do this, click the Preview button that appears when you hover over the poll with your mouse. This button is available regardless of the poll's status, whether Draft or Published.

You don't need to publish the poll to test it: open the preview from a Draft poll to check the questions before sharing it.

Once the preview is open, copy the URL of the poll displayed in your browser's address bar. It follows the format https://domain-name/surveys/poll-ID-poll-name.

Paste the poll link in an email, on your website, or on social media

Once you've copied the URL, simply paste it into an email to send your poll to your members.

In an email campaign or on a custom website page, you can also add a button and paste the poll link in the Link to field.

When they receive the email, logged-in members can access the poll via the link and submit their response once.
