From your administrator dashboard, the Polls feature lets you create, edit, and track the results of polls intended for signed-in members of your organization. Polls cannot be opened to the general public: only members with access to the member login area can respond, which ensures one response per person.

How do I enable the Polls feature?
Go to Settings > Feature Selection (at the bottom of the left sidebar) to enable the Polls feature if you haven't already.
Once the feature is enabled, you can access it from Website > Polls, in the Smart Pages section.
How do I create and configure a poll?
You'll land on the poll editor. Fill in the required information: fields marked with an asterisk are mandatory.
Then choose whether the poll should be anonymous:
- Anonymous: you only see the aggregated results, not the identity of respondents;
- Non-anonymous: you can see each participant's individual response.
Click Add a Question: a question block will expand. Fill in:
- the question label, as your members will see it;
- an optional description;
- the question type;
- the available answer choices, depending on the question type selected.
Finally, click Save. Your poll will appear in the list on the Website > Polls page.
What types of questions can I create?
In a poll, you have a choice of 4 question types:
| Question type | Description |
| Multiple choice with several answers |
The user can check multiple answers.
Example: "Do you like these fruits? Apple, banana, orange" — they can select apple and banana.
|
| Multiple choice with a single answer |
The user can only choose one answer.
Example: "What is your favorite fruit: apple, banana, or orange?" — they answer apple, banana, or orange.
|
| Ranking |
The user ranks the answers relative to each other.
Example: "Rank these fruits: apple, banana, orange" — they can answer 1. apple, 2. banana, 3. orange.
|
| Open-ended answer |
The user answers freely, with no predetermined response.
Example: "What is your favorite fruit?" — answer: apricot.
|
For all question types except Open-ended answer, add each possible answer using the Add an answer button, below the question label.
The answer choices are displayed in alphabetical order. To enforce a specific display order, prefix your answers with letters (a., b., c., ...).
How do I edit the questions in an existing poll?
To edit the questions in a poll you've already created:
- Go to Website > Polls.
- Hover over the poll in question, then click Manage.
- You'll land on the poll editing page, where you can modify its questions.
You cannot edit the answers in a poll if at least one user has already responded. In that case, create a new poll instead of modifying the existing one.
