Why is this information required?

This requirement stems from security standards set by card network rules (such as VISA). If information about the payer or the beneficiary is missing, the bank must reject the transfer or request the missing details.

This information is used to verify the payer's identity with our payment processor.

This measure is particularly relevant because the payer is not always the beneficiary — for example, when a parent pays for a membership on behalf of their child, or when someone purchases a group of event tickets.
