As the primary administrator of your nonprofit, you can check your e-wallet balance and transfer it to your bank account whenever you want.
This article explains how to find information about your e-wallet, and in particular:
- How the e-wallet works
- View your available e-wallet balance
- Get the details of a transaction
- View upcoming transactions
- Export all e-wallet transactions
How the e-wallet works
As a reminder, the e-wallet works like a digital wallet. It lets you collect credit card payments for memberships, donations, events, and your online shop.
When a member pays their membership fee by payment card, the money moves from their bank account to your nonprofit's e-wallet. It then moves from the e-wallet to your nonprofit's bank account.
View your available e-wallet balance
To view your e-wallet balance in real time, go to Payments > E-wallet.
The balance shown is the amount you have collected that has not yet been transferred to your bank account.
If the software shows $0.00, it means you have not yet received any funds in your e-wallet, or you have just completed a payout to your bank account.
This page lets you:
- View the balance at the end of the previous month;
- Your incoming (collections) and outgoing (disbursements, payouts) transactions;
- Get the details of a transaction;
- Export all transactions from the e-wallet;
- View upcoming transactions: transactions that will appear on your e-wallet soon, as they are still pending validation with the payment provider.
Incoming transactions correspond to payments that have been authorized but not yet credited by the bank to the e-wallet.
Get the details of a transaction
The software also lets you view the details of your transactions without having to go to the accounting section.
To view the details of your online payments, click on My Wallet Statement > View.
You will automatically land on the "My Transactions" tab, where you can find details about your online payments such as:
- The transaction amount;
- The payment date;
- The payer's name;
- The transaction type.
By clicking "+ filters", you can also search for transactions using various filters such as dates, amounts, contacts, or operation types (payment fees, refund, payment, payout, adjustment, or bounce).
So if members reach out asking whether their payments were received, this is where to check. The filters make your search easy.
View upcoming transactions
From the Online Payment menu, you can view your incoming ("My Collections") and outgoing ("My Disbursements" and "My Payouts") transactions on your e-wallet:
- My collections: Payments you receive from your members;
- My disbursements: Amounts involving an outgoing payment, such as refunds;
- My payouts: Amounts you will transfer from your e-wallet to your bank account.
By clicking on "My upcoming movements $X.XX", you will get more details on these transactions and can filter them by date, amount, type (Payment, Refund, etc.) as well as by associated contact, just like in the My movements tab.
Export all e-wallet movements
You can export your wallet statement as an Excel file by simply clicking "Export results".
The wallet statement includes all movements on your e-wallet.
For example, if you have doubts about the accuracy of the total payment fees, you can export your wallet statement and compare the amounts. It's quick and easy to do.
