You can issue an online refund to anyone who paid through one of your membership, donation, event, or online shop forms. An online refund is only possible if your e-wallet balance covers the amount to be refunded. If the balance is insufficient, refund the person offline, then record the entry in your accounting.

What to do if the e-wallet balance is insufficient or empty?
If the available balance in your e-wallet is less than the amount to be refunded, an online refund is not possible. For example, you need to refund $200 to a member, but your e-wallet only has $150.
- Refund the person offline, by check or cash.
- Manually record a refund entry in your accounting by following the article Refund a transaction or a sale.
What are the e-wallet limits you should know about?
You cannot add money to your e-wallet: a transfer from your bank account to your e-wallet is not possible. The only way to fund your e-wallet is to receive online payments through your forms.
