When a ticketing form or sales form offers too many pricing options, buyers get lost and abandon their purchase. This article is for administrators managing a long pricing grid and presents two approaches to simplify it: reducing the number of prices or grouping existing prices.

- Approach 1: reduce the number of prices
- Approach 2: create a price group

What is the technical limit of prices per form?
Each ticketing or sales form can contain a maximum of 60 prices. Beyond 60 prices, saving the form is not possible: reduce the number of prices or group them into price groups.
Approach 1: reduce the number of prices
Reduce the number of prices when some are redundant, outdated, or can be handled offline without impacting your sales.
To help you decide, ask yourself the following questions:
- Do any prices overlap and could they be merged?
- Can I handle most registrations online and deal with the remaining cases offline?
- Would it make sense to split these prices across multiple ticketing forms?
- Could some prices be replaced by information collected directly in the form?
Then remove any non-essential prices or merge those that overlap. Your form's pricing grid becomes shorter and easier to read for buyers.
The more complex a pricing grid, the more confusing the buyer experience. Aiming for simplicity helps you avoid losing potential sales.
Example of a long pricing grid that is hard for buyers to read:
If all your prices remain necessary, group them rather than removing them.
Approach 2: create a price group
Create a price group when all your prices are still relevant but poorly organized — for example, child, reduced, full, and group prices all mixed together. Grouping them makes the grid readable without removing any.
The Price Group feature brings several prices together under a single label, making the pricing grid easier to read. Buyers can then clearly distinguish each price group — for example, "Group A" and "Group B".
Create a pricing group in a form
- Open the relevant form (membership, event);
- Click ... > Edit;
- Open the Pricing section of the editing page;
- Click Add a pricing group;
- Name the group, for example "Children's rates" or "Discounts";
- Drag each existing rate into the group of your choice;
- Click Save.
Rates are now displayed grouped within the form, making it easy for buyers to spot their pricing group at a glance.
